I’ve spent over 15 years as an immigration attorney, living every day in the world of words. In law, language isn’t just how we communicate — it’s how reality is argued, shaped, and decided.
But my connection to language runs deeper than my career. When my father was passing, I made promises to carry forward what truly matters. And as a father of two children with autism, I’ve seen firsthand how every word — and sometimes the absence of words — can shape connection, meaning, and love.
Those experiences revealed a deeper truth: language is the hidden foundation of how we live, lead, and connect.
Today, I bring that truth into my work as a speaker, coach, and author of You Begin with Language. My mission is simple: to help people see language not as background noise, but as the most powerful tool they already have.
For individuals: Language is the bridge between what we experience and what we believe is possible. Change the words, and you change the story.
For leaders and organizations: The culture you create, the decisions you make, and the results you achieve all begin in language. Master it, and everything else follows.
Kenneth Burke – Language as symbolic action: words don’t just describe reality, they create it.
George Lakoff & Mark Johnson – Metaphors we live by: the metaphors we use every day quietly shape how we think.
Steven Pinker – The stuff of thought: how our words reveal the hidden structure of human thought.
David Marquet – Leadership is language: small shifts in words transform trust, decisions, and culture.
Steve Denning – The secret language of leadership: stories as the foundation for inspiration and change.
Between raw, ineffable experiences and the words we use to make sense of them.
Between personal breakthroughs and organizational transformation.
Between reflection and action.
